Charlotte Knighten

CHARLESTON – Charlotte Knighten, 53, of Charleston, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.

Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her husband, Herb.  They enjoyed raising their cats and pet birds.  Charlotte also had a special friend, Marcy Valach.  You could see them walking around town grocery shopping and getting coffee at Starbucks.

Charlotte worked at CCAR Industries on the janitorial crew, where everyone enjoyed seeing her smile.   She attended First Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir.  She faithfully went to choir practice every Wednesday evening. 

Charlotte enjoyed cooking pastas.  She was very loving, never knew a stranger and mothered everyone, but had no children of her own.  Charlotte was a die-hard Cubs fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR.  She loved spending money and listening to Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn.

Her memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 in the Community Room at CCAR Industries.  Arrangements: Caudill-King.
