Delbert Foust

CHARLESTON -- Delbert D. Foust, 88, of Urbana, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Delbert was born June 14, 1929 at Rose Hill, Illinois, son of Alva O. and Minnie O. (Colborn) Foust. He is survived by his children: Stephen (Kelly) Foust and Angela (Boyce) Dillman, all of Charleston; five grandchildren: Ashley (Ryan) Fisher, A. J. (Kaity) Winnett, Derek Foust, Joey (Taylor Ellis) Mills, and Wade Foust; and two sisters: Mary Griffith and Clara Mae (Frank) Sowers, both of Champaign. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother: Robert D. Foust.

Delbert retired as a Professor from EIU and had also been a minister. He was an avid flower gardener, and loved the outdoors. Delbert was knowledgeable on a wide variety of topics, and especially enjoyed woodworking, antiques, glassware, and animals of all kinds.

His graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Plainfield Cemetery, 17682 N 1280th St., Hidalgo, Illinois.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.
