MATTOON – Marilyn Jean Marshall-Vaughn, 81, of Mattoon, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home.
Marilyn was born August 29, 1936 at Mattoon, daughter of Merrel and Lorene (Clodfelder) Janes. She married Thomas Vaughn, May 16, 1992; he survives. Also surviving are their children: Bill Marshall of Springfield, MO, Cheryl (Kenneth) Giddens of Branson West, MO, Lori (Bruce) Williamson of Rocky Comfort, MO, Troy (Gretchen) Vaughn of Neoga, and Kim (Jim) Brigham of Mattoon. Two sisters: Betty Swanson of Palmetto, FL and Margaret Stubblefield of Peoria, IL; as well as 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Gary Marshall; and a brother: Frank Janes.
Marilyn was a Hair Dresser for many years and had attended Marshall Avenue Christian Church.
Her graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cooks Mills. Arrangements: Caudill-King.
