Phillip Flesor
MATTOON – Phillip G. Flesor, 66, of Mattoon, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at his home.
Phil was born July 28, 1952, son of George Flesor and Ila (Ellis) McVicker. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Phil was a member of Boy Scouts of America: Order of the Arrow, and was awarded the Vigil Honor. He was also an Explorer and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Phil graduated from Mattoon High School and Eastern Illinois University, where he was in the A.E.P., and received his BS in engineering, and Doctorate in Computer Programming. Phil was a member of MENSA, and was well versed in physics, law, medicine, history, and entertainment. Bill Gates was a personal acquaintance. He had been a pilot and had flown Frank Sinatra. Phil had been Executive Chef de Cuisine at the former EL Krackers Restaurant. He was a photographer, graphic artist, master craftsman, Olympic class archer, and a Lord of the Rings gamesman.
