Angela Stone

CHARLESTON – Angela Kay Stone, 60, of Ashmore, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center with family at her side.

Angela was born December 8, 1965 at Charleston, daughter of Judy (Miller) and Jack Ward. She married Albert Stone, July 21, 1995 at Charleston; he survives. Also surviving are her mother, Judy Ward of Charleston, children, Robert E. Stephens and wife Brandy of Ashmore, Carissa Daniels of Mattoon, and Stephanie Daniels of Lima, OH; step-children, Corey Stone of Arcola and Billy Stone of Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Kaleb Stephens, Sofia Stephens, Ryker Stone, Aleaha Winkler, and Peyton Winkler; siblings, Robby Ward of Charleston, Jack Ward of Mattoon, and Jamie Wilson of Brownstown, IL. She was preceded in death by her father, and step-son, Barry Stone.

Angela was a very giving, caring person. She was always looking after other peoples’ needs before her own. Angela enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and never missed any of her grandsons’ auto races.
