Barbara Barnes

CHARLESTON – Barbara Jean Barnes, 74, of Charleston, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at her home.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 at the Caudill-King Funeral from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Bret Hammond officiating.

Barbara was born April 20, 1948 in Charleston, daughter of Leslie E. and Ruth C. (Dow) Ashby.  She is survived by her children, Jeremy Barnes and special friend Heather and Cory Barnes, all of Charleston, bonus child, Bridget Addis of Orange City, FL, grandchildren, Kristin (Andy) Rardin, Nick Barnes, Jordan Barnes, Kabrina Barnes, Austin Ezell, and Taylor Barnes.  Great-grandchildren, Azyri Rardin, Garrus Rardin, Ziggy Kidwell, Nico Barnes, and Josiah Jones.  Brothers, Jerry (Kim) Ashby, Randy Ashby, and Stevie Ashby, and sisters, Linda (Bill) Hollowell, Gayle (Steve) Behnning, and Judy (Mike) Brown.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kevin Barnes, and one brother, Sonny Ashby.

Barbara was a devoted Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.  She enjoyed bowling in earlier years.  Barbara was an in home caregiver.
