Barbara Coleman

CASEY – Barbara Coleman, 81, of Casey, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN.

Barbara was born September 23, 1938 at Ashmore, daughter of Carlos A. and Louise (Beavers) Coartney.  She married Robert E. Hacker, September 15, 1957; he passed away March 1, 1970; she married Richard W. Yandell in 1974; he passed away May 31, 1998.  She later married Carrol D. Coleman, May 14, 2005; he survives.  Also surviving are her children, Rick (Patty) Hacker of Casey and Teresa (Eugene) Kase of Bloomington, IN; step-children, Jeff (LaDonna) Yandell of MI, Jaceson (Renae) Yandell of Monticello, IL, Michelle Needham, Alison (Lonnie) Perkins, and Kenneth D. Coleman, all of Olympia, WA.  Grandchildren, Allison (Zach) Shull, Patrick Hacker, Christine Kase, Michael Kase, and Tanner Kase; step-grandchildren, Jessie Yandell, Joey Yandell, Colby Yandell, and Alex Yandell, Rebecca, Nicole, Erin, and Summer.  One brother, Larry (Marilyn) Coartney of Ashmore; and two sisters: Judy (Don) Kelsheimer of Casey and Carole Coartney of Ashmore also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Barbara received her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University and retired from Indiana State University School of Technology.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Casey.  She adored and doted on her family and was very active in her community.

Her service will be private with burial at Enon Cemetery, rural Ashmore.  Memorials in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church of Casey.  Arrangements: Caudill-King Funeral Home.
