Dan Hutton

CHARLESTON – C. Daniel Hutton, 78, of Orange City, FL, formerly of Charleston, went to his Heavenly home, Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Advent Health Fish Memorial Hospital, with his wife Janice and son Robert at his side.

His graveside funeral will be private.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.

Dan was born August 29, 1941 at Charleston, son of Maude May (England) and Howard Hutton, Sr.  He was united in marriage to Janice Kae Richardson, June 27, 1971 at Charleston; she survives.  Also surviving is their son: Robert Hutton and wife Karen of Charleston; three grandchildren: Janel Luczkiw and husband Eric of Bloomington, IL, Reece Hutton and Maysa Hutton, both of Charleston; one great-grandchild: Lynden Luczkiw of Bloomington, IL; siblings: William Hutton and wife Joane of San Diego, CA, Don Hutton and wife Doris of Kokomo, IN, Peggy Gillard  and husband Earl of Kokomo, IN; one brother-in-law: Clarence "Shorty" Williams of Kokomo, IN; and one sister-in-law: Helen Hutton of Sacramento, CA.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Virginia Williams, and one brother, Howard Hutton, Jr.

Dan was a U.S. Air Force veteran.  He had been a Press Room Supervisor at R.R. Donnelly's and retired from Eastern Illinois University.  Dan was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church, where he had served as a Deacon and Associate Pastor.  He enjoyed card games, computer games, and reading the Bible.  Dan and Janice always started their day together with devotions and discussing current events.  Dan also had a special place in his heart for his dog Lexie.
