Caroline Pienta

CHARLESTON - Caroline Rose Pienta, 77, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

Caroline was born September 9, 1945 in Miami, Florida, daughter of John and Alyce (Zapotocky) Mrofka. She married Ronald Pienta on December 5, 1966 in Beaufort South Carolina. He preceded her death in March 2016.  She is survived by three children, Michael (Michalene) Pienta of Champaign, IL, Robin (James) Vrablic of Oak Forrest, IL, and Lauren (John) Richerme of Charleston, IL. Seven grandchildren, Kirstie Pienta, Nicholas Pienta, Tyler Pienta, Hannah Vrablic, James (Jay) Vrablic, Madelyne Vrablic and Colton Richerme. One brother, John (Lynn) Mrofka Jr of Tinley Park, IL and one sister Elizabeth Mrofka of Drake, CO. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son Steven Pienta in November 2016.

Caroline was a devoted Wife, Mother & Grandmother that treasured her time spent with her family.
