Christophe Welch

ASHMORE – Christophe Henri Welch, 55, of rural Ashmore, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at SBLHC.

Christophe was born September 27, 1962 Juvisy-sur-Orge, France, son of Anthony Douglas Welch and Monique Henriette (Bardou) Welch.  He married Robin Callaway, June 16, 2001 at Strasburg, Illinois; she survives.  Also surviving are his mother and step-father: Monique and Albert Bruner of Paray-Vieille-Poste, France.  His in-laws: Max and Joyce Callaway of Oakland; and his Uncle Bud, who held a special place in his heart, as well as several additional Aunts, Uncles, and cousins also survive.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Christophe received his Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Maryland in Europe. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Christophe loved being out in the woods and collected air rifles. His favorite time was walking his dogs around his rural home. He cared deeply for his animals and tried to give them all the best life possible. Christophe enjoyed working alongside his wife at their Prairiescape horticulture business. He was a very intelligent man, loved to read all the time, and was fluent in three languages.
