Colin Best

TRILLA – Colin M. Best, 38, of Trilla, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

His memorial visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Memorials may be directed to his family.

Colin was born May 20, 1981 at Mattoon, son of Carl M. and Martha Jane (Loew) Best.  He married Ashley Nichole Harris, April 30, 2004 at the Coles County Courthouse; she survives.  Also surviving are his parents, Carl and Martha Best of Lerna, sister: Sarah (Best) Swardstrom and husband Will of Grayville, IL; niece and nephew: Molly Swardstrom and Jonathan Swardstrom of Grayville, IL; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Mike and Debbie Harris of Trilla; sister-in-law: Keashia Pettyjohn and her children: Christian Pettyjohn and Conner Pettyjohn, all of Mattoon.  He was preceded in death by a sister: Janis Ruthanne Best; his grandparents: Clinton "Jack" and Dona Best and Ray D. and Florence Loew; and grandmother-in-law: Wilma Newlin.

Colin was a proud graduate of Casey-Westfield High School – Class of 2000.  He attended Life In Christ Fellowship.  Colin was a model train enthusiast.
