David Kelley

ASHMORE – David Kelley, 71, of Ashmore, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home, surrounded by family.

David was born January 15, 1950 at Terre Haute St. Anthony Hospital, son of Theron and Dorothy (Nickles) Kelley.  He married Vickie Sue Richey, September 19, 1975 at her parents' home in Ashmore; she survives.  Also surviving are their children, Becky Ballinger of Charleston and Shawn Kelley of Ashmore; grandchildren, Quincy Ballinger, Erikah Ballinger, and Raive Ballinger; and two sisters, Deloris Wiseley of Terre Haute, IN and Norletta Goodwin of Casey.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Wesley Kelley.

David retired from Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company.  He loved motorcycles, especially Motocross and street bikes.  David loved to tinker out in the garage all day long, but his world revolved around his grandchildren.
