Donald Lewis

KANSAS – Donald Heston Lewis, 82, of Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at home, with family at his side.

Donald was born October 12, 1942 at Kansas, son of Shelby H. and Myrtle Rue (Whitworth) Lewis.  He married Darlene M. Rhoads, September 1, 1961 at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, rural Kansas; she survives.  Also surviving is one daughter, Amy Jackson and husband Scott of Summerfield, NC; five grandsons, Tyler Lewis and wife Amanda of Bogota, IL, Chase Jackson and wife Kaitlin, Drake Jackson and wife Abby, Ridge Jackson, and Camden Jackson, all of Summerfield, NC; as well as eight great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Todd D. Lewis, twin brother Ronald P. Lewis, brother, James P. Lewis, and sister, Shelby Jean Mathews.

Donald was a long-time employee of Moore Business Forms, and later worked for JJ Collins. His favorite job was working for Jane Mangrum, taking care of her horses.  He attended Salisbury Church.  Donald loved fishing, tinkering around on three wheelers, and rode his motorcycle until he was 79 years old.  He absolutely adored his five grandsons and eight great-grandchildren.
