Dorothy Madlem

CHARLESTON – Dorothy Irene Madlem, 94, of Charleston, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Dorothy was born August 7, 1930 in Coles County, Illinois, daughter of Violet (Bell) and Wilbur Hall. She married Byrd Lewis Madlem, July 30, 1949 at Charleston; he survives.  Also surviving are their children, Russell (Jennifer) Madlem, Richard (Lisa) Madlem and Randal (Sheila) Madlem; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers John Hall and Albert (Sharon) Hall. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Violet Hall of Charleston, 3 Brothers and 2 sisters.

Dorothy was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
