Elizabeth Cottingham

CHARLESTON – Elizabeth Lue Cottingham, 97, of Charleston, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Her graveside funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2023 at Hurricane Cemetery, rural Charleston.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.

Libby was born April 28, 1926 at Winston-Salem, North Carolina, daughter of Acy and Pearl (Stanley) Windsor.  She married John Martin Cottingham, August 24, 1945 in North Carolina.  He preceded her into Heaven, June 8, 2015.  She is survived by one son, Paul Cottingham and wife Joyce of Charleston.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, William Windsor and Paul Windsor.

Libby was an active member of Charleston Baptist Church since 1945.  She treasured time spent with her family and her church friends.  Libby was a gifted artist, quilter, and as a seamstress, she made custom drapes.  She enjoyed music and singing for others.
