Glenn Donley

CHARLESTON -    Glenn Edward Donley, 89, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

His graveside funeral with military rites by Paul McVey V.F.W. Post #1592, and its' Auxiliary, and Charleston American Legion Post # 93, will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, July 11, 2025 at Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston, Illinois.

Glenn was born August 17, 1935 at Mattoon, son of Harold E. and Florence (Herman) Donley.  He married Bessie (Wilson) Fiscus, December 30, 1968.  She passed away January 11, 2014.  He is survived by one brother, Paul Donley of Mattoon;

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Donley; step-son, Billy W. Fiscus, Jr.; step-daughters, Brenda Burkert and Sandra Sue Fiscus; and step-grandson, Anthony R. Burkert.

Glenn was a U.S. Marines veteran, serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  He was a member of the Mattoon American Legion.  Glenn had worked at Trailmobile for many years, and later retired from the University of Illinois.
