Joan Strader

ASHMORE - Joan D. Strader, 99, of Ashmore, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at her home.

Her graveside funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Ashmore Cemetery, with Bret Hammond officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Arrangements: Caudill-King.

Joan was born July 1, 1918 at Dudley, Illinois, daughter of Felix and Georgia (Miller) Hood.  She married D. J. "Barney" Strader in 1956.  He preceded her in death, June 18, 1994.  She is survived by a niece: Christine Hood of St. Louis, MO, as well as several cousins.  She was also preceded in death by one brother: Norman Hood.
