Joanne Brady

CHARLESTON – Joanne Brady, 87, of Charleston, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at home, surrounded by family.

Her graveside funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.

Joanne was born September 1, 1936 at Charleston, daughter of Stella Mae (Sexton) and Donald Orvin Mills.  She married Donald Lee Brady, Sr., July 18, 1956 at the First Christian Church, Charleston.  He passed away January 4, 1992.  She is survived by four children, Richard Brady, Sr. of Charleston, Melody Abernathy of Charleston, Connie Hayes and husband Gerald of Bushton, and Donald Brady, Jr. of Charleston; twelve grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two sisters, one son, Jeffrey Brady, and one grandson, Jeremiah Eubank.

Joanne retired from Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center as a Care Partner after eighteen years.  She was a member of the Charleston V.F.W. Ladies' Auxiliary.  She loved going to garage sales and spending time with her family.
