John Walker

CHARLESTON – John Wayne Walker, 50, of Charleston, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at his home.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Caudill-King Funeral Home.  Memorials: to his family.

John was born on the 6 ^th day of the 6 ^th month of 1968 at 6:00 a.m. in Mattoon, Illinois, son of Raymond E. and Shirley M. (Bahney) Walker.  He married Diana Vaughn, August 28, 2001; she survives.  Also surviving are their children: Andrew (Cody) Walker, Kelli (Doug) Taylor, Kayla (DeWayne) Waltrip, and Alexander Nolan; two brothers: Kenneth Walker and Raymond Walker; and one sister: Nina (Bryan) Johnson.  Four grandchildren: Bailey, Ayden, Kynzer, and Maximus, also survive.

John worked at Libman in Arcola.  He loved spending time with his family, going fishing, and participating in demolition derby's.  The family wants to extend their thanks to Dr. Shakir and his staff at the SBLHC Cancer Center and Lincolnland Hospice.
