Juanita Renfro

CHARLESTON – Juanita June Renfro, 80, of Charleston, formerly of Bloomington, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 at Willow Breeze Hospice, Mattoon, with family at her side.

Juanita was born August 12, 1944 at St. Louis, MO, daughter of Lillie Pearl (Frisch) and Walter Richard Hellmann.  She married Charles Renfro, June 28, 1962.  He passed away March 12, 2003.  She is survived by her children,      Charles Renfro, Jr. of Belleville, IL, Lawrence (Candie) Renfro of Blodgett, MO, Lori (Timothy) Moore of Bloomington, IL, Bryan (Cindy) Renfro of Bloomington, IL, Barry (Shelley) Renfro of Milton, KY, Brenna (Steve) Francisko of Rapid City, IL; Gary (Deborah) Renfro of Windsor, IL, Patrick (Samantha) Renfro of Mattoon, a step-son, Gary Ray (Carole) Renfro of Louisville, KY, many grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, one brother, James (Verla) Hellman of St. Louis, MO

and one sister, Lillie Foster of St. Louis, MO.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Sylvester Hellmann, sister, Shirley Otten, and step-son, Charles Renfro.

Juanita was a devoted Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.  She attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church while living in Charleston.  Juanita enjoyed shopping, quilting, and traveling.  She especially enjoyed going to Disney World with her family.
