Keith Smith

CHARLESTON – Keith Charles Smith, 67, of Charleston, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026 at his home.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home.

Keith was born October 8, 1958 at McKeesport, PA, son of Charles F. and Marcella A. (Brown) Smith. He married Angela Sasco, September 3, 2013 at the Coles County Courthouse; she survives. Also surviving are their children, Renee (Daniel) Krecik, Warren Smith, Lucas James (Nicole) Brink, David (Taylor) Haller, Cody (Lydia) Smith, Katlyn (Willis Frey) Smith, and Tammy (Devin) Carver; grandchildren, Landyn Brink, Lexi Brink, Greyson Smith, Elsie Smith, Lena Haller, Rory Frey, and Ivy Carver; his mother, Marcella Smith; and brother, Chip Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Smith.

Keith was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Union Pipefitter working through Local #597 and had also worked as a welder at Safety Storage. Keith loved gardening, tending his flowers, woodworking, fishing, animals, and Motown music. He was a devoted Svengoolie and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and treasured spending time with his family.
