Kenneth Evans

MATTOON – Kenneth M. Evans, 69, of Mattoon, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at his home.

His funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.  Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. (NOON) to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Kenny was born August 7, 1949 at Charleston, son of Orville Kenneth and Cathryn Melvina (Wilson) Evans.  He married Mary Margaret Roberts, May 5, 1985 at the Coles County Courthouse; she survives.  Also surviving is one brother: Roger (Pat) Evans of Effingham; two nephews: Kevin and Kenny; and one niece; Kathy.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kenny had attended Central Community Church and Family Worship Center of Mattoon.  He enjoyed gardening and working in the yard.
