Linda (Snider) Huckstead

GREENUP – Linda Lou (Snider) Huckstead, 78, of Greenup, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, Urbana.

Her graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2022 at Zion Hill Cemetery, rural Mattoon.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.

Linda was born February 25, 1944 at Mattoon, daughter of Rufus H. and Vera G. (Hall) Snider.  She married Ronald Huckstead.  He passed away in 2017.  She is survived by one daughter, Delinda Sellers; two grandchildren, Trenton and Trulinda; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Barb Snider; two nieces, Donna Snider and Connie Snider-Olmsted; one nephew, Steve (Angie) Snider; several great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Snider.

Linda retired from the Mattoon School District as Head Librarian.  She enjoyed cooking and had plants all over her home.  Linda loved reading, doing word search puzzles, and was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan.
