Lois Miller

CHARLESTON – Lois Margaret Miller, 82, of Charleston, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026 at her home.

Lois was born March 27, 1944 at Portales, NM, daughter of Charles A. and Mary Pauline (Maus) Solga. She first married Hugh Ivan Birch. She married a second time to Dara Louis Miller, January 9, 1982. He passed away December 28, 2015. She is survived by two sons, Charles Ivan Birch and George Birch; a son-in-law, Scott Kohn; three step-children, Dana Miller, Theodore “Ted” (Wendy) Miller, and Tammy Miller; grandchildren, Brandi (Andy) Brown, Kathleen (Seth) Asbell, Ben (Ashley) White, Zachary (Heather) Miller, Zane Miller; Garrett Buell, Samantha Buell; and great-grandchildren; Carson Augustine, Carter White, and her siblings, Mary Ann Pixley, Dorothy Hatten, Charlene Weh-Casey, Tom Solga, and Beth Solga, also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Solga, step-daughter Kelly Comboni, and her daughter, Susan Kohn, on May 30, 2026. Lois retired from Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center as a C.N.A.
