MARJORIE E. KISSELL

CHARLESTON – Marjorie E. Kissell, 98, of Indianapolis, formerly of Charleston, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Wellbrooke of Avon.

The funeral service honoring her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Pate officiating.  Burial will follow in Kickapoo Cemetery, rural Charleston.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Marjorie was born March 19, 1926 at Charleston, daughter of George A. and Maggie E. (Finch) Bevers.  She married Robert Dale Kissell, December 15, 1949.  He passed away July 13, 2012.  She is survived by her children, Iris Oakley of Indianapolis, IN, George Raymond (Judy) Kissell of Ludlow, IL, John Dale (Regina) Kissell of Charleston, and Robert Joseph (Kennetha) Kissell of Charleston; grandchildren, Robert Oakley, Angela Oakley, Cameron Kissell, Marybeth DuVall, Jason Kissell, Mariah Kissell, Heather Kissell, Tracy Kissell, and Racheal Kissell.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Iris Jean Bevers, and a son-in-law, Glenn Oakley.

Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.
