Michael Chism

CHARLESTON – Michael Douglas Chism, 56, of Charleston, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at his home.

The funeral service honoring his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home with Scott Sims officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mike was born September 6, 1961 at Charleston, son of Larry and Treva (Shick) Chism.  He is survived by three children: Jackie Chism, Michael R. Chism, and Payton Chism, all of Charleston; one sister: Lora Allen of Charleston; one brother: Jeff Chism of Amhurst, NY; and a special friend: Lisa McPherson of Charleston.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mike retired from Moore Business Forms and later worked for ABC Seamless Siding and Sunrooms.  He enjoyed golfing and fishing, but especially treasured time spent with family.
