Ralph Bloxom

ASHMORE - Ralph Gerald Bloxom, 72, of Ashmore, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Ralph was born September 16, 1947 at Charleston, son of Herbert L. and Iona E. (Larrabee) Bloxom.  He married Rita Dian Shick, February 24, 1970 at Ashmore; she survives.  Also surviving is one daughter: Penny Bloxom of Charleston; one grandchild: Christopher Hughes of Ashmore; and one great-grandchild: Arianna Hughes of Charleston.  Four siblings: Dorothy (Robert) Phillips of Mt. Zion, Jerry (Eileen) Bloxom, Joe (Debbie) Bloxom, Doris (Don) Smith, all of Ashmore, also survive.  He was preceded in death his parents, and one brother: John Bloxom.

Ralph was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a heavy equipment operator, working out of Local 841 in Terre Haute, Indiana.  He was a gifted woodworker, enjoyed fishing, and belonged to the Coon Hunter's Club.
