Randy C. Wheeler

CHARLESTON – Randy C. Wheeler, 68, of Charleston, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at home surround by family and friends.

Randy was born May 9, 1957 at Danville, Illinois, son of Ralph "Red" and Madeline (Wallen) Wheeler.  He married Donie Fay Johnson, December 11, 1982 at East Harrison Street Church of God; she survives.  He is also survived by his children, Billy Wheeler and Brandy Walls; adopted children, Hubert Daniels and Terry Walls; and one brother, Jerry. He had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, whom he loved and cherished.  (Yes, Chelsey, we know you're the favorite….HA HA!)  He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Billy, Georgia, Sandra, Patsy, Mickey, Larry, Don, Richard, and Allen.

Randy worked many years as a Handy Man and at CCAR Industries.  He was a gifted Carpenter.  Randy was a member of the "River Rats" and the Eagles Club.

He will be missed dearly and will never be forgotten.  Legends never die.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The White Pines Pavilion at Fox Ridge State Park, 18175 State Park Road, Charleston, Illinois.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.
