Richard Farr

CHARLESTON – Richard Alan Farr, 66, of Charleston, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at home.

Richard was born September 6, 1951 at Mattoon, son of Paul and Betty (Lacy) Farr.  He married Charlotte Renee Bartels, August 6, 1996 at Sullivan; she survives.  Also surviving is a daughter: Jaime Harvey; step-son: Kyle (Jamie) Keefer; and step-daughter: Kory Leann (Thomas) Kirkham.  One sister: Mary Taylor; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

Richard was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in Special Forces.  He had worked for many years as a Cook at the Ramada Inn and Eagle Creek Resort.  Richard was a member of the Mattoon V.F.W.
