Roger Evans

EFFINGHAM - Roger Evans, 71, of Effingham, IL, passed away on February 14, 2026, peacefully in his home surrounded by family.

Born August 7th, 1954, in Charleston, Roger was the son of Orville and Cathryn Evans. Roger was known for his kindness, dedication, humor, and generosity. He could be found spending time outside and fixing things, with an Old Mil in his hand.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 wonderful years, Patricia Ann Evans; children Kenneth and wife Ana, Kevin and wife Mandi, Katherine, and his five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and his brother, Merlin.

A memorial visitation in honor of Roger will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, 1:00 p.m. til 3:00 p.m. at Harper-Swickard Funeral Home in Charleston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MyMemoryWorx in Effingham and Guardian Angel Adult Daycare in Teutopolis.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
