Roland Bennett

KANSAS – Roland Dale Bennett, 64, of Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at his home.

His graveside funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery, Kansas.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.

Roland was born April 7, 1956 at Paris, Illinois, son of Laura May (Kirkham) and John Ashmore Bennett.  He is survived by three children: Andrea Dayle Bennett of Casey, Faren Kacy Long and husband Michael of Toledo, and Stanley Norris Bennett of Monticello, IN; a step-daughter: Ashley Dawn Drake and husband Shawn of Charleston; six grandchildren: Landen Neil Millam, Kyra Jay Leigh Gilliam, Peyton Long, Korbyn Bennett, Weslyn Long, and Kyler Ratliff; one step-granddaughter: Melodey Drake; four brothers: Kevin Bennett and wife Deb, Ross Bennett, and Loren Bennett, all of Kansas, and Jerrald Bennett of Charleston; and one sister: Luana Washburn and husband Troy of Marshall, also survive.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother: Keith Bennett.

Roland was a longtime employee of Charleston Stone Company, and retired from North American Lighting.  He was a proud father and grandfather, and loved spending time with his family.
