Ronal Thomason

MATTOON – Ronal Lee Thomason, 74, of Mattoon, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at his home.

Ron was born November 14, 1943 at Charleston, son of Tommy and Shirley (Witters) Thomason.  He married Cynthia Greeson; she preceded him in death.  He is survived by three sons: Todd Thomason of Charleston, Michael Thomason of Bee Branch, AR, and Justin Thomason of Kewanee, IL; his mother: Shirley Thomason of Linton, IN; two brothers: Larry Thomason of Effingham and Kenny Thomason of St. Elmo, IL; and seven grandchildren: Alyvea, Zoie, Shelby, Brooklyn, Katelyn, Maddison, Quintin.  He was preceded in death by his father, one daughter: Lindsey Thomason, and one sister: Marsha Collins.

Ron was a U.S. Army veteran.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.

His graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at Mound Cemetery, Charleston, with Pastor Joe Stephens and Pastor Dave Dolan officiating.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.
