Ronald McQueen

MATTOON – Ronald Dean McQueen, 69, of rural Mattoon, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at his home.

Ron was born September 14, 1950 in Shelby County, IL, son of Gerald and Goldie (Davis) McQueen.  He married Brenda Redman in 1970 in Charleston; she passed away November 15, 2015.  He is survived by two children: Chris McQueen and Misty Ellis; six grandchildren: Devin McQueen, Sierra McQueen, Madison McQueen, Kayli McQueen, Savannah Ellis, and Shannon Henderson; one brother: James McQueen; and one sister: Sherry McQueen-Peiper.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Ron retired from Ampad, where he worked in the Bindery Department.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.
