Tammy Hayes

CHARLESTON – Tammy Marie Hayes, 61, of Charleston, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025.

Tammy was born March 30, 1963 in Orange County, California, daughter of Delmas and Jacqueline (Laws) Tryon.  She married John Kevin Hayes; he survives.  Also surviving are her children, Gerald Hayes of Charleston, Cam Hayes and wife Jenny of Mattoon, and Jordan Hayes of Charleston; step-children, John Hayes and wife Lena of Charleston and Jessica Hayes of Charleston; thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as one sister, Sherri Pope of Charleston; and two brothers, Tim Pope of California and Verl Tryon of Mattoon.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Michelle Hayes.

Tammy had attended the Baptist Church.  She was an employee of Master Brands.  Tammy enjoyed spending time with her family.

Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (NOON) at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home.  A reception will follow at the Charleston Elks Lodge, 720 6th Street.
