Vickie Fletcher

CHARLESTON—Vickie Sue Fletcher of Charleston, IL passed away at 7:24 A.M. July 18, 2025 at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home - Harmony Center.

Vickie was born on October 18, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia to Barbara Ann (Farr) and Russell Eugene Stewart. She married Steve Eugene Fletcher on September 15, 1978 in Charleston, IL. He preceded her into Heaven on April 24, 2009.

Vickie is survived by two brothers, Russell Duane (Tina) Stewart of Mattoon and John (Tina) Stewart of Champaign.  In addition to her husband, Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Ann Althaus and Russell Eugene Stewart, and a sister, Jeanie Hollingsworth.

Vickie was a member of the Salisbury/Home Church in Charleston.  She was a child care provider in her home for many years.  Vickie treated every child she took care of as her own.

Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Salisbury Cemetery in rural Charleston.  Arrangements:  Harper-Swickard Funeral Home.  Memorials in her honor may be made to: House of Abraham, c/o Home Church, 2350 Madison, Charleston, IL  61920.
