Vivan Tomcheck

CHARLESTON – Vivian Lee Tomcheck, 84, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026 at SBLHC, with family at her side.

Vivian was born October 20, 1941 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Her father was Floyd Taggart. She married Joseph Tomcheck, Jr., October 30, 1959 in Oakland, MD. He passed away May 31, 2009. She is survived by their children, Sharon (Jim) Kneisler of Sullivan, Michele (Jeff) Wright of Charleston, and Cindy Bennett of Charleston; grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Drake, Travis Spence, Nicholas (Suzanne) Wright, Jennifer Bennett, and Ashley (Jerad) Burns; Great-grandchildren, Joey, Katelyn, Kennedy, Kamryn, Abby, Ariana, Devon, Maddie, Sam, Jayce, Ella, and Weston; two brothers, Jeff (Lou Ann) Taggart and Perry Taggart; and two sisters, Dorothy Bryner and Diane (Chuck) Stasko. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Albert Taggart.

Vivian had worked at the Brown Shoe Factory and Casey Tool and Machine. She enjoyed going to the stock car races at Charleston Speedway. Vivian enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her private graveside service will be held at Mound Cemetery, Charleston. Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.
