William Hudson

CHARLESTON – William "Bill" Hudson, 93, of rural Charleston, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at his home.

His graveside funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2020 at Mound Cemetery, Charleston, with military rites by Paul McVey V.F.W. Post #1592 and Charleston American Legion Post.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.

Bill was born October 7, 1926 at Charleston, son of Roy F. and Lula (Blunk) Hudson.  He married Jean Anderson, October 10, 1948 at Corinth, MS; she survives.  Also surviving are their children, Jeff Hudson and wife Sarah of Charleston and Gail Chapman of San Francisco, CA; one grandson, Nicholas Hudson and wife Eno Kyei; and one great-grandson, Mathew Hudson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Roy Lee Hudson and Robert "Bob" Hudson, and four sisters, Anita Shippy, Frances Stout, Armilda Bielejec, and Linda Swinford.

William was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Walnut Grove Christian Church.
