James Plummer

 

MURDOCK, IL -  James Elmer Plummer, 73, of Murdock, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at Newman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

 

His graveside funeral with military rites by Paul McVey V.F.W. Post #1592 and Charleston American Legion Post #93 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.  Arrangements: Harper-Swickard.

 

James was born May 26, 1949 at Charleston, son of Ivan Paul and Wanda Lea (Reynolds) Plummer.  He married Rosemary Elaine Leisure, June 10, 2015 at Charleston; she survives.  Also surviving are his children, Kari Ruholl, James Eugene Plummer, Bruce Roseman, Jeffrey Scott Plummer, Jennifer Lea Whitener; step-children, Karen Bridges and Teresa Foutch; two sisters, Tanya Plummer and Diana Hall, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Paul Raymond Plummer, and one sister, Brenda Butler.

 

James was a U.S. Army and Army National Guard veteran.  He was a retired fork lift operator.
