Lila Klitzke
KENOSHA, WI – Lila Mae (Sims) Klitzke, 85, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Alliance Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Her graveside funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Hurricane Cemetery, rural Charleston, with Reverend Stephen Rutherford officiating. Arrangements: Caudill-King Funeral Home. Memorials in her honor made to your local animal rescue/shelter.
Lila was born May 5, 1935 at Wauconda, Illinois, daughter of Teddy E. and Adah Louise (Krueger) Sims. She married Franklin Carl Klitzke; he preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, Margaret Louise Bieker of CA and Mark William Klitzke of Milwaukee, WI; five grandchildren, Mandy, Josh, Teddy, William, and Nathan. Three great-grandchildren and one sister, Sara McKinney of Watson, IL, also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, William Sims.
Lila worked alongside her husband Franklin at their family Bakery. The family enjoyed spending summers at Grandpa Klitzke’s trailer on Bass Lake near Spooner, WI. Early on, the family lived in the city, but in later years were able to move to the country where the children were able to enjoy nature, and loved taking care of their dogs, cats, and horses.
