CHARLESTON – Mary N. Hickenbottom, 94, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at SBLHC.

Private burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Charleston. Arrangements: Caudill-King. In lieu of flowers, memorials: Northside Baptist Church.

Mary was born May 27, 1926 to Clint and Mabel (Williams) Rauch at their home in Cumberland County, IL. She married Isaac “Ike” F. Hickenbottom, March 22, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky; he preceded her in death, February 3, 2014. She is survived by their children: Jerry Hickenbottom of Charleston and Patty Nichols (Michael Gillen) of Franklin, NC; and one granddaughter: Michelle Champagne (Casey) of Milledgeville, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Dorothy Waltrip, and niece: Frances Davis.

Mary was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was devoted to her family, and in earlier years she had worked at Eli Lily and Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company.
