Sandra Franklin
CHARLESTON – Sandra Kay Franklin, 60, of Charleston, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Charleston Rehabilitation and Care Center.
The funeral service honoring her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2022 at Home Church, 2350 Madison, Charleston. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the church. Memorials may be made to her family. Arrangements: Harper-Swickard. Purple was her favorite color. Please help us honor her by wearing purple to her visitation and service.
Sandra was born December 11, 1961 in Charleston, South Carolina, a daughter of Homer Lyle and Lois Irene (Waggle) Franklin. She is survived by her mother, Lois Franklin, siblings, Debbie Reddish, Brenda Warren, Randy Franklin, and Deanna Franklin; nieces, Amanda, Penny, and Kendra; and great-nephews, Logan, George, and Roman. She was preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents, Homer and Mary Franklin, maternal grandparents, Arthur and Florence Waggle, and brother-in-law, Kenny Warren.
Sandra was a member of Glory of Zion International Church. She was an in-home day care provider, beautician, and a Norwex consultant. She loved little kids and was said to be a little kid inside herself. Sandra collected Disney memorabilia, Christmas ornaments, clowns, and teapots. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and tatting. Sandra also loved going to the movies and tended to see things from a different point of view. Sandra was an amazing person who always saw the good in people and loved to laugh.
